Geneva, Wednesday, August 30, 2023 – A magnificent BVLGARI evening in Geneva marked the kick-off to the fourth edition of Geneva Watch Days, a revolutionary watch event concept created by BVLGARI and 3 other funding Brands during Covid to ensure the future of Watch Fairs mandatory to watchmaking desirability. It offers the perfect setting for the presentation of the Italian Maison’s new watch creations under the theme of ‘The extraordinary Duality of Nature’ as well as the impressive book "Beyond Time" devoted entirely to the BVLGARI world of watchmaking excellence.
What better place than Geneva, the cradle of world watchmaking, to introduce the book of 300 pages, 8 chapters written by the greatest names of BVLGARI, friends, ambassadors, and experts of the brand. "Beyond Time", the only authorized history of BVLGARI watchmaking marks a first for the Manufacture, which is celebrating more than 100 years of Roman-inspired watchmaking creativity.

For while it’s true that this important book - under the impetus of BVLGARI CEO Jean-Christophe Babin - does more than to summarize a century of watchmaking savoir-faire: it is the sum total of all BVLGARI has ever achieved in the domain of horology since the 1920s. The editorial approach is unprecedented: it engages in conversations between ‘the BVLGARI watch’ and renowned authors, connects the brand’s collections with cinema directors, athletes, experts and conductors. An authoritative reference work on the brand’s singular “Horologico-Roman” and jewellery-inspired creativity, which is the product of years of research, authored by the company’s greatest specialists and featuring hundreds of original, captivating illustrations masterfully enhanced by renowned international publisher Assouline.

To mark the event, the 200 guests - VIP guests, clients and press - were honored by the presence of three of the book's major contributors - journalists Fabienne Reybaud, Robin Swithinbank, and watch collector Auro Montanari, aka John Goldberger, who gave fascinating testimonials of their work. Encouraged by Jean-Christophe Babin, surrounded by BVLGARI Watches Managing Director Antoine Pin, as well as BVLGARI Watches Product Creation Executive Director Fabrizio Buonamassa Stigliani, they all together expressed their gratitude to all the guests who made the evening so memorable.

As BVLGARI returns to Geneva, forging a connection between Italian elegance and Swiss excellence, the atmosphere was imbued with an aura of sophistication with the unveiling of not less than three stunning creative acts under the theme of the extraordinary ‘Duality of Nature’.
The Fall 2023 guiding theme for materials, colors, shapes, and both rare and age-old savoir-faire find new expression on the Octo Finissimo saga which continues to unfold around new materials with CarbonGold, now cladding in the anthracite hues of high-tech carbon, contrasted with the luminous brilliance of gold. The second act shines a spotlight on BVLGARI's marvellous Piccolissimo BVL 100 miniature mechanical movement, the smallest on the market, which equips two magnificent Serpenti Misteriosi, true to the spirit of secret jewellery watches. For the third, BVLGARI has unearthed rare and precious antique coins set on new Monete Catene watches, showcasing exceptional antique treasures of Ancient Rome and Greece, a quintessential element of the BVLGARI style.
Jean-Christophe Babin, CEO of BVLGARI, said “Tonight's exquisite gathering in the heart of Geneva, the cradle of watchmaking savoir-faire, is a statement to BVLGARI's relentless pursuit of excellence. Our journey into the Swiss horological tradition has been one of unwavering commitment to craft, innovation and audacious creativity.
